Frequently Asked Questions

Does the pool inspection include water testing?

No. The inspection is visual and functional. It looks at the pool, spa, equipment and safety items but does not test water chemistry.

Can I add a pool and spa inspection to my home inspection?

Yes. Most clients add it to their home inspection so the home, pool and spa are covered in one visit and one report.

Does the pool need to be open and running?

For the best results, the pool and spa should be filled and the equipment powered on so components can be operated. Let Brad know ahead of time if the pool is closed for the season.

What safety items do you look at?

Barriers and gates, self-closing and self-latching hardware, drain covers, GFCI protection and other visible safety concerns.

Do you inspect hot tubs without a pool?

Yes. A standalone spa or hot tub can be inspected on its own or as part of a home inspection.
